James Yorke

James has been involved with StatsBomb since 2014, first as a writer and then as Managing Editor between 2015 and 2018. In his current role, he oversees StatsBomb’s football operations and adds analytical and sport-specific context to the StatsBomb IQ and IQ Live products. James enjoys most sports in his free time, at least from a non-participation angle, and is content with his semi-rural existence.

Ted has decades of leadership experience spanning sports betting and data analytics. Before founding StatsBomb he worked at Pinnacle, Brentford FC and FC Midtjylland.

  • Who is the course for?

    This course is aimed at anybody who is interested in modern recruitment techniques. We cover all aspects of the process with a focus on data and scouting.

  • How does the course work?

    It’s very simple. You will need to create an account on our courses website, then you can watch the course videos at a time that suits you.

  • How long is the course?

    There are 9 modules, each lasting between 30 and 70 minutes.

  • How much does the course cost?

    It’s £360 inclusive of relevant taxes for all 9 sessions, payable before you start. No student discounts or refunds available.

  • Who should I contact if I have questions?

    You can email [email protected] with any questions about the course.

  • Are there any technical requirements to access the course?

    This is a web based course - we recommend using Chrome but it also works on Safari. We recommend watching the videos in 1080p - you can set the video resolution in your settings when watching each video (bottom right hand corner of your screen). There are no particular tools or software introduced in this course. .

  • Will I receive a certificate for completing the course?

    Yes you receive a StatsBomb certificate of completion once you finish the course.

  • My company is paying for the course, can I get an invoice?

    If your company is paying for the course we can arrange an invoice in advance and once payment is received we will provide access to the course.
